Give me a break!

Seriously.  I just got an email from Isaac's teacher.  He came in from recess with his glasses in two pieces.  Super.  This is the same boy who, just a few weeks ago, came in from recess with his front tooth in two pieces.  His permanent front tooth.  On Tuesday, his loving father took him to have an "apexification" performed by the endodontist.  The good news is that the root is still alive.  Instead of looking at a tooth implant, he will hopefully be able to have a root canal and, eventually, a crown.  Apparently, it was quite a procedure and my husband declared Isaac to be a champ after enduring it.  He is a tough kid.

In other news, we heard today that the document we have been waiting for is in process and will hopefully get to our agency sometime next week.  Come on court date!

Yesterday, we had our final post placement visit with our social worker.  It does not even seem possible that we are coming up on a year since we went to Ethiopia to bring Sena HOME!  This time last year, we were toying around with the decision to travel to Ethiopia in spite of the fact that we did not have a confirmed embassy appointment.  It was risky and scary and the night before we flew out, John and I were both nervous wrecks!  But, our daughter did come home and we saw God's faithfulness even in the midst of impossible circumstances.  He is good!
