In other news...

...we celebrated Ethan's 11th birthday last Friday with his friends, Wednesday because it was his actual birthday, and tomorrow is his family party.  That is a kind of a lot of celebrating for one kid - especially when a sweet treat must accompany each occasion and it is up to his mother to make said treat.

The birthday boy and his mama - he gave me a lot of fits in utero and also as a 2 year old, but he is a rather delightful tween.  His middle name is David (after my Dad) and we often call him Dave as a nickname.  Lately, just for fun, we have taken to calling him Dawit - which is what David is in Ethiopia.  Good times!
