Stay Tuned...

I received an email today with an update on our I171H. Our home study was sent four weeks ago today and it just so happens that our case was approved this morning and we should have that blessed little paper also known as the I171H in our hot little hands by the end of the week! The I171H is issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service and gives us permission to bring an orphan into the country. It is also the final document needed for our dossier. As soon as we have it in hand, we will go to the Secretary of State's office in Springfield to have the state seal placed on our Affidavit of Dossier and our Power of Attorney. Then we can send the entire dossier to Washington D.C. so that a courier can take it to the U.S. Department of State for their Seal and then to the Embassy of Ethiopia for authentication. It will then be sent to our agency in Washington State where it will then be sent to ETHIOPIA!!!! I am *SO* excited!!!
There is a certain baby girl that we have had our eye on, but she is waiting on the Ministry of Women's Affairs in Ethiopia to issue a final document so that she can be considered "paper-ready" and then be placed with a family. Please pray that MOWA in the Oromio region of Ethiopia will reopen soon. The director of YWAM's adoption ministry is in Ethiopia right now and we are praying that God will give her favor with the officials there and that good news will be forthcoming. There are many children who are waiting on MOWA to reopen so that they can join their forever families - this is REALLY important.
